The aqua tone of Plastik’s Ataciara skins was pretty much perfect patina. The Mochi hair by Wasabi Pills in aquatic tone is slightly off from the patina, but was the closest one I could find. I was aiming for sort of Greek-Roman statue curls, but couldn’t find hair that would have nailed it perfectly and in the end I was really happy with the cutesy round curlettes of this one.

I had a lot of fun trying to find places where a statue could be placed, such as this. All the poses are by aDORKable Poses, lovely combination of unassuming cuteness. The Will ‘O The Wisp outfit is by Evie’s Closet. It worked as a sort of ragged toga enough for me.

The real question is of course where do all these lifelike statues come from? Visit the Cave of Medusa and you might understand… I was really happy to see how playing with windlight and viewer settings could produce texture changes on the skin, but what would have made me -really- happy is finding body tattoo layers to mimic either the patina or the bronze. I really wanted a sort of flaked look to the statue, perhaps even some cracks to the surface. If you know of any, please share!

Thus I’m sure no one is surprised about how much I squeed at the Cafe Hunt. Not only was it full of wonderful cafe setting furniture and noms, there was also maid and waitress outfits all over the place. This particular one by izm. was my favorite, though. The tights by Latte and boots by Lassitude & Ennui were not a part of the hunt, I just added them to complete the look for the awesomeness reasons. The vintage home cafe is by Greeny Beetle, the monkey purse by Epic and the pitcher and the furniture by Baffle!, all from the hunt.

“About that important meeting… there are sudden complications. Important complications. Delici- …details later.”

I wanted to also make a look for a customer, and she ended up being rather high vintage style. The Pizazzle mini dress is by {bilo} and the Exile hair and Atomic skin are both from the current Dressing Room Blue. The fascinator is from LaGyo’s sale — at this rate I will own the whole Mademoiselle line soon. The ridiculously delicious looking sweet strawberry pancake tray is by Poche, the coffee break picture by (meberry) and the cafe counter by Zacca.

The skin by Shiva and glasses by Air are from the hunt, but the hair by Love Soul isn’t. I was just in bobbish mood again, so both women ended up in one. Both of them also have Pulcino’s hunt prize eyes, just in different colours. The real star of this particular picture is the cheese cake tray by Nonino, though.

The gorgeous colour-change necktie by Lassitude & Ennui is a hunt prize as well. The earrings by Miel (subscribo-gift) and fine gloves by The Secret Store are not, but they completed the look so perfectly. The blue phone with the pose as well as the pose in the first picture are from Olive Juice’s closing sale. So much sadness. The hot chocolate fox by [D]oki that I’m pretending is coffee might help in cheering anyone up, though.

Especially on these Cafe Gamma storage room seating and display by KUE!, I added only some kitchen tools by Bitter Vanilla into the scene. The barista is enjoying her coffee from a red bunny cup by Naminoke.

Miss Iron — I’m so tempted to make Iron Maiden puns — has my favourite scifi skin by Oralune and an outrageous Courtisane hairdo by Violator. The cyborg eyes are by Repulse and there’s three make-up layers by Nuuna’s Skins in addition, all from the pack 9.

I took the pictures in Mythical and went crazy with shadows and viewer settings. I changed into Niran’s Viewer lately and I can actually see the changes when I play with SSAO-settings now. All I did to these pictures was crop and shrink a little. No filters, no fixing, this is how it was in-world.

There is one problem with enhanced graphics, though. The bug that causes square lines to appear in bigger-than-screen-resolution pictures seem to be similarly enhanced. Earlier I was often able to just paint-blur them off, they were just lines. Now… not so much. I might have to start shooting pictures in screen resolution. Sadness.

See the lines? Those I might possibly be able to paint-blur away still with hours of work, but… yeahno. And anything as awesome as this is absolutely not fixable. This makes me a sad bunny since I loved shooting in gigantic resolutions, then moving the picture around on the end result size to partially decide on the composition there and then. Guess it’s smaller resolution from now on.

All the nifty combat poses are by Niqotine Poses, perfectly fitting the Iron Maiden. I love unconventional poses, they make pictures so much more fun and dynamic and the characters so much more alive. Even iron-willed half-mechanical humanoid females.

Petites are fairies, pixies, what-have-you tiny-pretty-things, mostly with wings. I am posing in Alia’s versions of these little ladies and thus the avatar charm is credited to Fallen Gods Inc. This also explains why there are darker fae among the petites, with draconic wings and scales on their skin. Psst, EverQuest players can finally have proper arasai-avatars!

I adore the combination of scales and face tattoo markings on this petite. You cannot use big people’s things on them, but there are three versions of each fae: natural, corruption and third — marks such as this for draco, cherry make-up for the elves and crystals.

The dress, flower wreath, leg ribbons and wings are by G Field, made specifically for the petites. The Orion hair is by MissAllSunday Lemon of Wasabi Pills and in similar fashion, the big people cannot wear these. (Despair not, she has normal versions that fit the non-petite heads for sale in her main store.)

I’m sure everyone has realized where the brave petite heroines are adventuring, but just in case someone has missed on the squee experience of their SLife: HPMD – Happy Mood. I felt it was important to show just how tiny these avatars are and decided that there is no better way to demonstrate ickleness than posing with the Happy Mood bunnies.

The red-haired little miniature elf is dressed in another Fallen Gods Inc. creation. Alia has prepared outfits for each petite type as well as normal and PG skins, so you don’t have to be naked unless you want to! Oh, and if you were wondering: normal AO and poses work with these miniature beauties. The poses I used are in order by aDORKable Poses (1), Glitterati (3), Oracul (my AO’s hovering pose – 4), Diesel Works (5) and Olive Juice (6).

Now all you have to do is to fly to Petite Avatar Kingdom at Yabusaka and become a petite fairy! Everything is mesh, make sure to try out the free demos before purchasing.

I especially liked the cut of the robe, the golden trims coming together and parting again. There were several ways to wear the dress — shorter, sexier versions of mostly black or this blue robe over the gown, also in different lengths and volumes. This slim robe was my absolute favourite.

I took Celeste into ImagiLearning and wandered around admiring the build and playing with windlights. I kept Sonya’s default League-skin and Redgrave-lashes, but I exchanged her usual eyes into hematite gemeyes, also by Cazimi Designs.  The jewelry and the hair ornament are by .( bewildebeest ). (not available anymore), except for the pearl decoration in her hair. That and the hair are both by Sky Everett. The poses in order are by Niqotine Poses, TeaSoup and [69].

Waiting to see a ship in the horizon…

The sim is The Path, a collaborative surreal story by several artists. They recommend dark night windlight for it, but since I was taking pictures, I played around with various lightings a lot. This area that looked like the perfect ancient alien city is the beginning area. If you follow the notes and clues, you will be taken on a breathtaking trip into an inventor’s mind. I love art installation sims in SL, there is no way to do things like this in our real one. Go, see, enjoy!

I compiled the space princess out of a skin and eyes by The Plastik, prim lashes by Redgrave and two make-up tattoo layers: AstroGlam by Nuuna’s Skins and Dogma of Astaroth by Fallen Gods Inc. The latter is the black stripes, the former is the blue stripes~

The unedited full version of this picture is probably my favorite. It looks to my biased eyes like a fantasy poster. I simply cannot get over how surreally pretty this sim is. I liked using the present flowers as filters for this picture, as well. As for posing, Miss Electric Indigo’s poses are by Niqotine Poses (1&2), Di’s Opera (3), aDORKable Poses (4) and Diesel Works (5).

I wanted to give the alien space princess some edge to go with her surreal sexiness, and these bracelet, finger & claw combinations by Amorous were so perfect for this that it was like I had commissioned them. As for the hair, its strange twists and turns and almost banner like extensions, random spike through it, horn like shapes… I still remember finding it in Mirror and going all starry-eyed. It left with me right that day and it’s still one of my favorite fantasy hairs.

Daring, mysterious, regal adventuress in an ancient alien civilization… that’s Miss Electric Indigo. I encourage you all to follow in her footsteps!

Tao is a combination of a black skin and white body tattoo — or a white skin and a black body tattoo — both versions in the packet. The body tattoos can obviously be worn with other skins, as well. As usual, Alia’s talent challenges mine: how to pose in a SFW style while wearing nothing but Slink boots, Wasabi Pills hair and a lot of .( bewildebeest ). jewelry? It took a lot of pose and angle adjusting, I assure you!

Note the yin-yang eyes that are a part of Tao! Also note — with sadness — the gorgeous jewelry by .( bewildebeest ). Why sadness, you ask. Because there is a closing sale going on. 10L per piece, 20L for set and 1L for the gatcha items… trust me when I tell you that you need the whole shop. I kid you not. The whole shop. All the things! The sale ends on January 16th, so hurry!

The additional make-up layers are by Nuuna’s Skins, three layers from her latest make-up packet. It’s for sale for 200L at the moment (normally 300L). The subscribo note said she’ll keep it at lower price for a week, but I must admit I don’t know when the said week will end. I bought them today, though! The gothic moon goddess of the balanced night was posing against a mausoleum by Stone Misery.

After frantic searching in my inventory, I ended up wearing this gorgeous dress by Broken Doll. It’s an old hunt gift that I just had to keep, despite its very non-sonya-colour. Once I was wearing it, I knew Miss Coral would end up being all sweet and innocent and just slightly curious. She would also end up wading in the sea barefooted, searching for corals. The fitting location was found after plenty of beach and reef check-ups, this is in Las Lagunas.

I was very amused by the matching flamingos, so I played with them a lot. The cute-but-curious look of Miss Coral was achieved with a skin and eyebrow tattoo by ^Re.Birth^, Poetic Colors eyes, Miamai’s tattoo lashes, lip gloss by M.O.C.K. Cosmetics and slight touch of eyeliner by Mynerva. The gorgeous flowers in the Elikatira hair are by LaGyo, the rings are by .( bewildebeest ). and all the poses are by aDORKable Poses.

Perhaps after Miss Coral gives up on the wading, she’ll retire back to the porch of a seaside manor to sip some ice tea… but for now she is modestly, amusingly wild and willful. Searching for corals, of all things!

My favorite stat is persuasion, the art of smoothtalking, charming and seduction. Flittering about in the Court, writing gothic poetry books, indulging in the honey dreaming, beginning new fashion trends… In the game I wear a corsetted dress that is described as “Enough whalebone and sprung steel to stop a blade. Does wonders for the figure, too.”  This meant I simply had to have a mesh + alpha corset for this picture. I ended up buying this gorgeous thing by Schadenfreude and combining it with a dress by Evie’s Closet. The end result was rather stunning, if I say so myself.

I used Mandala’s xmas special sale jewelry set with it and Sky Everett’s old hunt prize hair: if you want periodish drama, you can’t go wrong with Sky. I kept pretty much to default Sonya otherwise: League-skin, Poetic Colors eyes, Redgrave lashes and just a dash of lipgloss by M.O.C.K. Cosmetics. Poses in order are by E.inK, Thump, Miamai (part of the couch), Niqotine Poses and Purple Poses.

The Scarlet Stockings of Dubious Origin provided more trouble. Red vintage stockings that would match with two other red items were pretty much impossible to locate, but these League-ones worked well enough. The lingerie bottom is also by Evie’s Closet. The actual inspiration for finally doing these shots are the mesh boots, though. They are by Lassitude & Ennui and absolutely breathtaking. The pattern, the buttons, the class combined with the sass — they were perfect for this.

I had to give her a tattoo, straight from Clathermont’s Parlour: a code for the Great Game. Perhaps these bat wings by Likka*House signify that she is a messenger, like the bats of London are. She is studying scandalous prints for blackmail — or perhaps entertainment — purpose. De Sade’s prints with a magnifying glass are by ~Libertine~ and I added an old map of Innsmouth by ^Re.Birth^ into the mix. It felt appropriate.

The Victorian room with the couch is by Miamai, the rug and the table with everything on it (except the bat by Pink Fuel) is by POST, the coffee pot is by Oblonski, honey by Savage and the perfume bottle by Charic Uladstron. The all-seeing cat is by Kowloon. They give you secrets if you catch them, you know. As for honey, it was too modern (although wonderfully made) for the setting, but I simply had to have honey for the picture. It’s the local hedonistic drug of mind-and-dream-sharing…

Miss Champagne is an extremely classy kind of girl and if she is intoxicating… well, that is a secret between you and her. She loves parties, but only the fancy kind — ballrooms, chandeliers, gowns — aristocracy as it only exists in fantasies.

I took Miss Champagne to my favorite fancy ballroom castle area in Japan Tempura Island and as I mentioned before, fancied her up with Muse-gown from Violent Seduction. I’m certain she’d inspire plenty of things in it. As for Miss Champagne herself, she’s made out of a skin by Pink Fuel, eyes by Poetic Colors, lashes by Redgrave and hair by Sky Everett.

I couldn’t resist the drinkwater looking glass necklace by .( bewildebeest )., it was so perfectly classy and fitting. A monocle was a given, she is a traditionalist, after all. This touch of old-time class is by E&D Engineering. The pearls around her wrist are by Bonita’s. The first pose is by TeaSoup, the second by PurplePoses, the third is a part of Sonya’s AO — snapped the picture as I had just arrived.
