Petites Like Shinies, Too

Who wouldn’t? In this case I’m referring to the Crystal Hunt in the recently opened Petite Kingdom. I was tempted to take pictures in the sim because it’s gorgeous, but the lure of playing with the prizes and other shinies won. The crystal that seems so big in this picture is the hunt object. They glow blue and every participating shop has a hint, so it’s really not that difficult. More a fun way to explore the sim than a torture method.

The hunt will clothe and accessorize your petite rather well and provides plenty of furniture, but you do have to have a petite first. If you don’t, the first floating castle has plenty of them for sale. This particular petite is obviously a teenager princess, lounging on the alcove by {Mole End}, wearing G Field’s outfit and Wasabi Pills’ Noriko hair. All three are from the hunt, but the extra jewelry she plays with is not. Those are normal avatar sized shinies by ::: Krystal :::.

Roawenwood had plenty of fun petite furniture in the hunt and this little flower parasol by *Epic* was to squee for. The leaf-and-branches outfit is by Fallen Gods Inc., perfect for tiny dryads. The small skunk by D-Lab is from The Arcade’s gacha event, he just plopped on the chair and refused to move. Would you try to remove a skunk, no matter how cute? Yeah, me neither.

I could not resist. I’m sure you’re all surprised. Anyways! The petite kimono by Naminoke and the hair by Wasabi Pills are from the hunt. The Tee*fy camera that floats because magic — duh — and the ASO! alphabet bracelets spelling bunny are also from The Arcade. Happy Mood bunnies are just their squeetastic selves. Non-specified parts of the scenery are Ely’s awesome landscaping.

Even if you’re not interested in the hunt, Petite Kingdom is well worth the visit for breathtaking views. Go explore and have fun!

The Importance of Coffee

I confess, I’m a coffee-holic. If I’m afk it is most likely because I’m making more of it. The sweet soothing nectar of the gods that doesn’t ever keep me awake against my will, but without which I’d be yawning constantly. What? I live in a country that is pretty much dark for half a year! We need our coffee!

Thus I’m sure no one is surprised about how much I squeed at the Cafe Hunt. Not only was it full of wonderful cafe setting furniture and noms, there was also maid and waitress outfits all over the place. This particular one by izm. was my favorite, though. The tights by Latte and boots by Lassitude & Ennui were not a part of the hunt, I just added them to complete the look for the awesomeness reasons. The vintage home cafe is by Greeny Beetle, the monkey purse by Epic and the pitcher and the furniture by Baffle!, all from the hunt.

I wanted to also make a look for a customer, and she ended up being rather high vintage style. The Pizazzle mini dress is by {bilo} and the Exile hair and Atomic skin are both from the current Dressing Room Blue. The fascinator is from LaGyo’s sale — at this rate I will own the whole Mademoiselle line soon. The ridiculously delicious looking sweet strawberry pancake tray is by Poche, the coffee break picture by (meberry) and the cafe counter by Zacca.

The skin by Shiva and glasses by Air are from the hunt, but the hair by Love Soul isn’t. I was just in bobbish mood again, so both women ended up in one. Both of them also have Pulcino’s hunt prize eyes, just in different colours. The real star of this particular picture is the cheese cake tray by Nonino, though.

“Yes, I believe I shall be late… for ten… say twenty minutes…”

The gorgeous colour-change necktie by Lassitude & Ennui is a hunt prize as well. The earrings by Miel (subscribo-gift) and fine gloves by The Secret Store are not, but they completed the look so perfectly. The blue phone with the pose as well as the pose in the first picture are from Olive Juice’s closing sale. So much sadness. The hot chocolate fox by [D]oki that I’m pretending is coffee might help in cheering anyone up, though.

Especially on these Cafe Gamma storage room seating and display by KUE!, I added only some kitchen tools by Bitter Vanilla into the scene. The barista is enjoying her coffee from a red bunny cup by Naminoke.

Black Unicorn Cabaret

It’s the name of Voltaire’s current tour and a brilliant name it is! A DJ friend of mine went to see his show a bit ago and is doing a four-hour-special with that as a theme, so obviously I had to figure out something fun to wear for it. As usual I went both literal and overboard.

Tadah, a burlesque unicorn! Or some such. I used Zacca’s Halloween House as the setting, you can still get it for free from the Chestnut Hunt. The feather boa is by VL Wildthings and Sonya tossed it away almost immediately to dance better.

I let Sonya keep her default League-skin, Poetic Colors-eyes and Redgrave lashes, but added a mask tattoo layer by Sn@tch and lip gloss by M.O.C.K. Cosmetics to the look. The hair is by Love Soul and it practically oozes of attitude.

The cute gartered hooves are by Epic from FTLO Shop, the gorgeous unicorn horn is by ~Illusions~ and the tail is by Malfean Visions. It looks like a lantern to Narnia decorating your… tail. Yes. It was a part of an unseelie avatar for the earlier Twisted Hunt.

The body suit by sYs, the fishnet tights by Bad Juju and the gloves with bracelets by Loulou&Co are all old hunt gifts. The first pose is by DARE and the only actual pose I used in these pictures. Sonya told me she wasn’t going to do static pictures for something burlesque, thank you very much. So I started Freestyle shimmy-2 by Ministry of Motion and took the pictures during the rampant dancing about on the balcony. It’s fun, you should try it!
