Pink Bunny Avenger Appears!

…I might have lost my mind. Yes, I’m aware that this is the second post in a row with pink in it. I apologize. See, I was dressing for a costume contest with theme Awesome Anime. I’ve watched a fair share of various animes and am a fan of several series, but for some reason actual virtual cosplay has never been my thing. I rather mix-match my own looks than wear a ready character. So, the thought process went something like this: ‘Hmm, something cute and kawaii, and then make it kick-ass! Innocent face, pink hair, oohh bunny ears! …and lolita dress and then… blood and ridiculously oversized weapons!’ Without further ado, I give you the Pink Bunny Avenger!

And this is only a minimum of weapons any self-respecting anime heroine should have! Battle fans from OMFG, the big demon sword on her back and the katanas on her side from Bare Rose. I haven’t quite figured out what she’ll be avenging, but I’m sure it’s a good cause! Possibly cruelty toward bunnies, like not giving them noms or petting them when they feel snuggly. The horror!

Obviously our heroine has a comfy throne where to lounge in and …waitwhat, are those tentacles? …perhaps I shouldn’t be so fast to use the h-word, maybe… ‘main character’ would work better… *coughs* The throne and the AO with the fitting poses for it is from Creative Insanity (Twisted Hunt prize). The house with obvious after-battle wallpapers is by Sugar.Snap.Me. The pose in the first picture is by Niqotine Poses. The Avenger is wearing a dress from Rotten Toe (only slightly blood-spattered!), socks by LeeZu, shoes by Grim Bros and gloves & bracelets combination from Loulou&Co (Twisted Hunt prize). Skin is the lovely Amaterasu skin from Pink Fuel, the same place the lil white minion bunnies are from, too. Eyes by Umedama Holic, hair by Curious Kitties and the bunny ears with a lovely little cherry blossom by Poetica (Pacific Crisis Fundraiser). Oh, and the cutesy ribbon around her neck is by Nightshade.

So you better be nice to bunnies, you never know who might hear about it if you don’t!

So Steamy~

As usual, after I train my caming skills to extreme with Twisted, I assault Steam Hunt. They’re always during the same months, after all. Steam Hunts are mostly about furniture, gadgets, strange machinations and textures with some top hats tossed into the mix, but this round there were some excellent clothing choices as well! I used Sky Everett’s hairs in all the pictures as well as lovely golden eyes from Poetic Colors. Skins changed, but none of these were a part of the hunt.

Here’s a random noble lady, concerned over something, perchance a theft of something valuable. The matter disturbed her so greatly that she forgot her after-masquarade bath for the moment.

That half-mask with the elegant face piercing made me squee. It’s by Orquidea and absolutely breathtaking. The outfit is by Rag Dollz and matching gold-painted skin by Imabee. She’s sitting on a steampunk throne by Julia Collection while the bathtub by Damned Good Design is momentarily forgotten in the background. The holdable mask (a part of the outfit) lies on the edge of the bath. All the pictures except the last were taken in a steampunk loft by D&M Dream Furniture.

Perhaps this has something to do with her worries: an airship pirate obviously feeling way too smug for being innocent. Of anything. She’s been up to no good, that’s clear.

The whole outfit is by Dare Designs and perfect for daring pirate girls. It comes with a skirt option, but those just get in the way! The crates she’s sitting on are a part of a fun celebratory prop combination from Lemons & Cream, it came complete with champagne and a booty chest! In the background you can see a work table by E&D Engineering and outlander’s sideboard with accessories by Noctis. Skin is by Nightshade.

The pirate girl has reason to celebrate because she’s hidden her loot so cleverly that even the best detective in town has been driven to drink. Or at least to consider one, while fiddling with her trusted gun on the table.

This outfit is beyond awesome. I love Wretched Dollies as is, but when they turn into western steampunk complete with guns, it’s time to break out that champagne! The goggles are by Grim Bros, the hat is by The Mad Hattery and the skin one of the latest group gifts by Mynerva. The table with everything on it is a part of POST’s metropol set and there’s a fainting couch by The Naughty Victorian on the background. The sketches on the wall are a part of the loft.

Now, where did the pirate girl hide the treasure? In the magical gear forest guarded by steampunk fairies of course! …of course there are such things, stop looking at me like that. If there weren’t, there wouldn’t have been several pairs of wings as prizes, nor magical plants, flowers and awesome things as well!

See? A steampunk fairy! Wings by Wildz Creations and dress by Ezura. The skin was a 50L Friday purchase from The Plastik a while ago and I felt that the curliques on it worked with the wings~ Trees and shiny things on the background are by The Epic Toy Factory and I warmly recommend visiting them to see all the nifty things. It was impossible to capture the entertainment of teaching daisies to dance or hopping up and down on shrooms or wandering in the magical airship where the prize was hidden, you have to go and see for yourself! I set my own little magical gear garden in the conservatory by Primwynly.

I feel like I cut the story into a cliffhanger. Who knows, maybe I’ll make a colour-post about what it was that the pirate girl stole… one of these days. We’ll see~

Catching Up With Colours~

A year full of colours, perfect excuse to dig into your inventory and play dress-up, different colour every week. That’s more or less the nutshell of LunaJubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge. She lists a new colour every week. I didn’t even know there were 52 colours, yegads. My colour perception is practically male: light brown, dark brown, what’s the difference? Fortunately she provides a colour sample every time so I can try and match that! And hey, it’ll be randomly educational, too! Not to mention fun. ^_^

It’s week fifteen of the challenge now, which meant I had fifteen looks to cover. To make the post less picture spammy I actually used a photo studio and then just snip-copy-pasted three in one. Since I was lacking in my usual environment creation fun, I challenged myself in another way: matched the styles of the colours per picture. Can’t make it too easy on myself, right?

The first three colours — grey, blue and goldenrod — turned out to be manga-ish school girl characters. Although I think Miss Blue might be a teacher. I started with flailing about if I’d find anything in goldenrod, going ‘That’s a colour? O.o’ a lot until I finally located that shirt. It called for school girlness, so Miss Grey and Miss Blue just had to live with it. All of their poses are from Ks2cool.

Grey: skin – Frick, eyes – Kosh, hair & scarf – Curious Kitties, tattoo – Moloko, gloves & top – The Loony Bin, leggings – Aoharu, lip piercing – Virtual Insanity, armlet – Zenith Fashion, coffin purse – DV8, belt – Gauze

Blue: skin – M.O.C.K. Cosmetics, eyes – Umedama Holic, hair – Wasabi Pills, dress – Miamai, tattoo – Schadenfreude, stockings & garters – Vinyl Cafe, butterflies – Minajunk, bird ring – KUE!

Goldenrod: skin – Imabee, hair – Red Queen, eyes – Poetic Colors, top – Paradisis, skirt & gloves – League, boom box – katat0nik, aether headphones – Belle Belle, socks – Rotten Toe

Plum was another tricksy one until I did a search for it and found this exact colour sample match hair from my anime hairs folder! Much rejoicing. ^_^ Then I poked around in my lolita folder and found a dress with exact same hue whales on it. Obviously Miss Sepia and Miss Yellow weren’t that difficult to dress up once I had the lolita style decided.

Plum: skin – Violent Seduction, eyes – Rita Eyes, hair – Little Heaven, dress & tattoos – katat0nik, necklace – Pink Fuel, pose – Lazy Places

Sepia: skin – Imabee, eyes – Sn@tch, hair – Curious Kitties, monocle – E&D Engineering, orchid – Orquidea, collar – Steam Powered Nuts, Inc., dress – Frick, pose – Estetica

Yellow: skin – Pink Fuel, eyes – Glam Affair, hair – Fatal Error, dress – Dilly Dolls, tattoo – Curious Kitties, cyber arm implants – Fatal Error, pose – Melancholia Lilliehook

Cerise was one of those ‘This is a colour? Yegads, it’s dark pink!’ moments. I did a search for ‘pink’ and tried everything on and much to my surprise found this vintage lingerie -and- shoes in exact colour sample tone! Who knew~ Miss Green and Miss Silver got to wear lingerie just to match lil Miss Cerise. You can’t really see the shoes on Miss Green and Miss Silver that well, but all three are wearing Grim Bros’s fantastic curlique filled wonders. There’s just something so delicate, decadent and debaucherous in those details. And other d-words.

Cerise: skin – Frick, eyes – Kosh, hair – BettiePage Voyager, lingerie – Dominion Fashon District (creator: pisi Ruby), shoes – Grim Bros, stockings – Lapointe, gloves – Sn@tch, pose – Natasha Martov

Green: skin – Heartsick, eyes – Plastik, hair – Sky Everett, jewelry – Ganked, lingerie – Style by Kira, stockings – Dilly Dolls, gloves – The Black Canary, pose – Niqotine Poses

Silver: skin – Frick, eyes – Kosh, hair – lamb, nightie – A&A Fashion, shoes – Grim Bros, jewelry – Mandala, pose – CnS E-motion

Two browns in one picture! I divided them in order and when I realized that I’d have two separate browns in this one, I just knew it’d be steampunk. I mean… my inventory is sort of black, black, black, red, black, blue, black, green, lots of browns in the steampunk folder! black. I am so miffed I couldn’t use hya-blue (Silent Sparrow) for the middle girl, but I just could not match it to the colour sample with good conscience. Fortunately I had Sparrow in sienna!

Sienna: skin – Frick, eyes – Plastik, hair – Waka & Yuki, dress – Silent Sparrow, goggles – Belle Belle, steampunk headset – Londinium Gearworks, hat – Illusions, pose – Olive Juice

Indigo: skin – Frick, hair – Waka & Yuki, eyes – Mynerva, hat – Perturb/ation, gloves – Atsuki Kayo, necklace – Mariposa, dress – Evie’s Closet, pose – Niqotine Poses

Taupe: skin – Sn@tch, make-up – Frick, eyes – Plastik, hair – Waka & Yuki, gloves, skirt & stockings – League, top & necklace – Sn@tch, pose – LAP

When I realized my last picture had emerald, black and red I more or less squeed. …and then I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make a fantasy picture or a ballet picture. So I made both! It’s like a joke: ‘A dryad, a drow and a demon walk into a ballet class…’ Obviously the demon is more interested in inviting others to dance and the drow claims she can’t dance without daggers, it’s apparently a part of her cultural heritage. The dryad was at least somewhat happy~

Emerald: skin – Sn@tch, eyes – Plastik, hair – Curious Kitties, dress – DV8, necklace – Fallen Gods Inc, pose – EverGlow

Black: skin – Ho Wear, eyes – Kosh, hair – Exxess Designs, dress – Mocha, ears – Illusions, necklace – Deviance, lip spider – EarthStones, knives – ODB, pose – Niqotine Poses

Red: skin – Red Queen, hair – Deviant Kitties, eyes – Plastik, tattoos – Fallen Gods Inc, dress – Evie’s Closet, horns – Trap, jewelry – Mandala, lip piercing – Nightshade, pose - Niqotine Poses

Whew. Next week I’ll start blogging colours one per week like everyone else… guess I have to come up with something else for extra challenge… maybe to match furniture or other props, too…

Twisting Away~

Yes, it’s September again. Yes, that means there’s another Twisted Hunt going on. Yes, it’s almost October and I’m late with blogging. *coughs* I blame FFXIV beta. In fact, I foresee a lot of non-bloggingness in my future. <.<

But I simply -have- to post something about Twisted! So here, my favorites from this round…

This time the cubes are orange! Yes, that means a lot of orange in clothes and accessories and whatnot. And in this curiously enchanting skin from Leonine. It had tattoos on it and despite being orange it was strangely beautiful. The eyes are from MaXeyes. The hair is from Waka & Yuki and not a part of the hunt. The small dress with enough sheer option to let the body tattoos show through is from DragonLady’s Closet. The choker of skeletal hands is from Goth & Beautiful Designs (and a part of an another outfit). The monocle is from Tree House Treasures and the bone umbrella from Yellow JesteR. The picture is taken in a haunted house from A Netherworld.

The theme of this round’s was Spooky. There were plenty of haunted houses and some ghosts, but of course also witches. The skin from F’ed Up isn’t really that green, I admit having played with the light, but it just worked so perfectly with the look. The eyes are from Nightshade’s gift and the small cobweb tattoo on her cheek from Sassy Kitty Designs. The facial piercing is from Virtual Insanity, hair is from Waka & Yuki (not a part of the hunt) and the hat is from Federschneider. The wings are from Favole, the broom with the kitty from Deviant Designs and the outfit and the boots are from DV8.  The eyeball is a part of a Fleshcrafter’s Sentinel tree from Malfean Visions and the picture is taken in a skybox from Sugar.Snap.Me.

And this is of course the spookiest thing ever. We all know there’s nothing scarier than clowns. Absolutely wonderful avatar from Djinn & Tonic and .44 Caliber. Killer Clown avatars for both genders: skin, shape, eyes, hair, clothes and axe! I’m using Sonya’s own shape in the picture, though, she complains if I change it. <.< Oh, and the rings & nails combo is from Virtual Insanity, the pose from Del May and the picture is taken in a twisted cottage from XIII. On that note, I used lashes from Butterfly Kiss Boutique in all of the pictures. I think they were a part of the Endgame prize.

And that’s all, folks. For now. *grins* I’m not doing any hiatus announcements since knowing myself, I’d get a sudden irresistible urge to blog exactly one week after that, but… if I’m silent for a long time here, you know why!

How do your pixels live?

I think it says something about the human mind that in the world where we can be anything we want, we often create most wondrous fantasy avatars, who then have homes with bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. The very least. I have been plotting a full-freebie post about a fantasy avi, but I’m seriously having trouble finding a freebie skybox and/or other environment base for that avi to live in. Where as I could kit a dozen of different styled human avis and their houses with freebies. Especially now!

Putting my rambling aside for the moment to introduce the SL House & Garden Hunt! The blog is here and the beginning location is here. There’s 50 shops involved, all ridiculously high quality and the organization was practically flawless. By the time I started it, it was smooth, effortless and fun. It also did what only the very best of hunts do anymore — introduced me to several shops I had never heard of, but immediately fell in love with. I do not go through too many hunts these days, not thoroughly. I admit that I handpick, either based by blog posts or because I know I like a certain shop’s style and quality. There simply are too many hunts going on at any given moment. However, this one I did from beginning to the end and it might end up being on the top of the list based on how much stuff from a hunt I -keep-. So very warmly recommended. <3

This beach house from Starwind Homes is my favorite from the houses and skyboxes in the hunt. It is interestingly built, has a wonderful colour scheme and even paintings matching it. The window sill has a couple of pillows for lounging upon, but I used the floor pillow from {what next} instead. I decorated the window sill with two bonsai trees from Organica, candles from Ambiance, ickle so-cute-it-kills tulip from LISP Bazaar and a little book pile from .SunnyM.

You can see more books from Aria on a window sill on the left, right next to the mostly yellow chair and table from Art Dummy. I set a bunch of fun make-up products from Dutchie on the table. Far back — somewhat hidden my by skirt — is a hacienda lounging rug with pillows from Ambiance (colour-change <3) and a lamp from Melia. Up in the ceiling is a ventilator from Cleo Designs. The paintings on the right are a part of the house, but beneath them is a canvas trio from Aria and Kessel table from Second Spaces.

The dress brings me to another hunt alert for August: No Strings Attached Hunt, for all you doll lovers. The blog is here. Orange and beige aren’t usually my colours (except possibly in steampunk looks <.<), but this dress was way too cute to pass. Not to mention conveniently matching to all this orange in the house. Oh, and it’s from Broken Doll. ^_^ Hair is from Curious Kitties, eyes from Poetic Colors, apple in her hand from Shade — none of which are a part of any present hunts. She’s wearing a lovely key jewelry set from Violet Voltaire, complete with a doll key, also a part of the NSA Hunt. I know, I know, not really visible, but I wanted to mention them just in case. The skin is from Nightshade and it’s a part of another interesting hunt going on at the moment, but I’ll ramble more about it in just a few pictures~

I blame the scarecrow. It just sort of automatically set the vibe slightly strange, mayhaps even creepy. Just a touch of it~ The scarecrow and the garden where my rogue rabbits are busy noming are from Herbalys. The grass is from MiaSnow and it’s tintable. It’s white, I added some green to it to match the rest of the scene. The picnic table is from Phi and the waffle maker on it from Reek. The yucca plant in the bottom right corner is from Blonde. The whole little garden scene is set into a tree sky garden from Zacca.

The slightly eerie broken dollie is enjoying the mood swing from Belle Belle. The broken doll skin is from F’ed Up, a part of the NSA Hunt. The dress is Blue Belle from Deviance, I believe it was in the lucky cupcake. Shoes are from Grim Bros and they’re my favorite dollie shoes ever, such details. <3 The hair is from 69 (not free) and there’s Sounds of Nature headphones on her head, complete with little butterflies and all… the latest Themeory product from Tweedle.

Slightly darker and more modern dollie here, lounging on a pillow from UrbanizeD. Most of the things on the background are from Designer Prims. (The chair on the right, the taller table, all the things on it and the books under it, to be precise.) The wall decal that I shrunk and set under the window is from {what next}, the smaller table with candles on it is also from UrbanizeD and the collection of books and tasty looking drink and glass is dubbed ‘clutter’ and is from .SunnyM. The movie clapper is a part of a director’s chair set from Tasty and the skybox itself is from Barcode.

The Hellsing Manga, the bright red spot in the near monochrome room is from Atypical and a part of the Industry District’s opening celebration hunt. It runs until August 12th and you’re looking for tiny gears in corresponding shops, here’s the ride. The Nightshade skin in the first picture is from this hunt. Other things from the hunt in this picture are the tattoos from Endless Pain, lip piercing from Little Boy Blue, industrial fall out goggles from Forsaken and the eyes — what little you can see of their gleam — from Eye Factory. The skin and the outfit are both from the latest Black Bacchanal — skin by Nomine and outfit by Blue Blood. The hair is from Exxess Designs (not free).

So many hunts going on and I’ve barely scratched the surface again. @.@

Telltale Ravens

The Macabre Hunt is going on again and this time the theme is the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The hunt is relatively short, only 52 shops (of which three are sort of awol and one apologized for being late and promised to send the gift later), so it’s really an evening run.

Annabel Lee was one of the popular inspirations and here we have a full-fledged sepulchre from Bambi’s. The dress is by A Netherworld, skin by Rasetsukoku, eyes from Damage Virtual Clothing, necklace from AZE Designs and the hair and the earrings from Sky Everett (not a part of the hunt). The pose (by Essential Soul) is called Tiptoe, but it had this lovely eerie ghost-reaching-out quality to it when combined with the look.

This burlesque Lenore outfit set called for a very different style of macabre… it’s by Violent Seduction and absolutely gorgeous. The tophat is from Dead Designs, bloody knives from ODB (Ol’Dirty Bastards) and telltale heart attachment from Grim Bros. Skin is from Nightshade and the red glowing prim eyes from Damage Virtual Clothing. The hair is an old Starlust Valentine Hunt gift, since there were no hairs in this hunt at all. Sadness. ;_; The bed is from Tree House Treasures.

There were two different crypts to entomb Fortunato in, this one is by Saturnine Dreams. The strangely cute crow bone tophat has a birdie caught in it and is from Forsaken. Hair by Curious Kitties is not a part of the hunt. Skin and eyes from Not Button’s. Little Pricks provided several versions of this telltale heart necklace, pulsing and not. The dress is from Rotten Defiance.

The Oval Portrait received several interpretations as well, both in painting and otherwise. The strange building by Daallinii’s Creations was one of them. You are invited to walk around a room and as you walk, the story appears on the floor until you finally stand in front of a door. When you enter the story ends with this sentence on the floor and the painting facing you. The raven from MadPea is awesome and defaults to sit on your shoulder. Dress is from Gehenna, the mask from Othrive and the writing tattoo from Little Pricks. Skin from Tacky Star, eyes from Damage Virtual Clothing and the hair is by Sky Everett and not a part of the hunt. I used an old full-perm ‘lay dead’ pose for this, the building itself has no poses.

There were plenty of interesting and quirky things in the hunt, now go out there and find your own favorites~

La Vie Kawaii~

Also called ‘how we moved from a gothic manor into a garden cottage and squeed~’. Now, I’m going to try to pretend that this isn’t a completely self-indulgent post about home and hearth and bunnies, and all the avatars who run around in the said home, but… yeah. But hey. I am filling a gaping hole in the blog-verse by blogging about garden and yard items! There is so much awesome out there on the grid and no one ever blogs about it. I shall! Oh so reluctantly, yes. *coughs*

So let us start with the girl trio running amok on the grounds, here comfortably posing on top of the bubble chairs from Happy Mood~

The background scenery you see in every picture is this awesome megaprim with windy moors on it. It’s from Two Moon Studios and keeps up our immersion of not at all being situated near random shops or other people. Noes, we live in solitude (and cuteness) somewhere far, far away. The hills with big trees on them are also from Happy Mood. As for what we’re wearing… on the left is Sonya with Rotten Toe dress, Grim Bros shoes, C&D Benelli tights, Nightshade neck ribbon, Curious Kitties hair, Bastchild wrist corsage, Djinn & Tonic skin and an umbrella from Weather! or Not?. In the middle is Loki in Frick skin, Vixen hair, Brocade Tiger pants, Grendel tattoos, Phoenix Designs boots, Rag Dollz leg pistol & strap, CatniP bracers, Haven Designs top, Manna belt, Belle Belle goggles properly on her eyes and other pair of goggles from Hat Mechanic around her neck, because you can’t have too many goggles! Athelia on the right has Trap skin, Magika hair, Manticorp goggles, Rotten Toe dress & socks, Manna belt, Katat0nik shoes, Violet Voltaire necklace and Sweetest Good-bye armwarmers.

The yard is wonderful place for lounging about and having picnics. Who needs a kitchen table when you can do this?

That’s Loki and Sonya and a poor SL-bugged Happy Mood bunny. That or he’s getting into the Ozimals-mood and has decided he’s a mutant with black ears. <.< I’ll get into what we’re noming in just a moment, but first look at the scenery. How pretty is that? There’s mushrooms from New Trails, trees from Fox Labs, sparkly bubble chairs from Happy Mood, elven light tree branch thing from Forest Floor and of course the magically lit ground which is a mix from the products of Happy Mood and iTuTu. Sonya’s pose is from Ana_mations and Loki’s from Niqotine.

Here’s a close-up that drove us all into nom-craving. @.@

The lovely Japanese lunchbox setting is from Love Soul. It has two different caterings that you pick by touching it. The sushi roll mats (one open, one rolled) are from Sanu, the cookie jar is from Magic Nook and gives cookies when you click it, the tray is from Kinema no Tsuki, the coffee pot on it from Oblonski and the apple pie slices and cups on it from Falln. Sonya is wearing frilly shorts by LeeZu, top by Sn@tch, Waka & Yuki hair, Yabusaka sandals, Djinn & Tonic skin and a nom in her mouth is from Sanu. Loki is noming on a mousie mouth cupcake by Sanu and is wearing Maschienenwerk skin, Discord Designs hair, Peppermint Blue top, DV8 capris, Truth shoes, Ginza necklace and her practically trademark tattoos from Grendel’s Children.

Not everyone is happy with all this sparkly cuteness, of course. It is not, how shall we say this… very manly. *grins* Here we have Janos sulking at the fence, refusing to go to the guuuuuuurly area. Obviously the bubbles might give him cooties.

This from a guy with a panda cupcake on his shoulder… anyways! He’s sulking behind a fence from iTuTu, the inviting lanterns are from Zacca and they frame the path from Fox Labs. The flowers are from iTuTu and the trees in the distance are from Fox Labs. You all know by now that the bubbles are Happy Mood. ^_^ Janos is wearing an awesome sad panda tee from Before Sleep, panda cuppycake on his shoulder from Sanu, GQ Fashions pants, Discord boots, Kosh belt, Nosotr@s tattoos on his arms and Sassy Kitty Designs gloves. His skin is from Corrupted Innocence, pose from Snooky’s Poses and hair from Black Maria.

Even Aleksander, who has reluctantly set all this cuteness down for us, more or less escaped to the roof when requested to pose within it. Eventually he agreed to do sort of royal pose, especially after Vanis said he’d help the impression with a bodyguard pose! He’s obviously an elven assassin protecting the Black King. <.<

They’re on the roof of the cottage from Zacca, the background showing some Happy Mood birds, summer festival decorations from Nonino and flowers from MiaSofia. Aleksander is wearing The Abyss skin, Sadistic Hacker hair, Illusions ears, KWZ suit and Treads boots. Vanis is wearing Excess skin, Sadistic Hacker hair, Buried ears, LNL suit, pocket watch & gun and hoorenbeek boots.

Now, the only exception to the rule is of course Vanis. He doesn’t object to the sparkles, he thinks they accentuate him! This is why when Aleksander turns his back, Vanis sneaks off to woo his protegee. Or some such. Yesyes, we have way too much with all of this. *grins*

Athelia called this combination of looks ‘seducing angels down from heaven’. It was pretty appropriate, I must say. Athelia is all ethereal in a gown from Evie’s Closet, wearing Trap skin, ETD hair and Illusions ears. Vanis, on the other hand, is very much flesh and blood in his Excess skin, Calico Ingmann hair, Buried ears and DeLa armwarmers. He’s also wearing RFyre pants, Blitzed belt and tattoos. The snake one around his neck is from Demise, the arm ones are from Crimson Shadow.

Here’s the inevitable result of the dancing, of course. Athelia’s gown might have turned red, but it is still from Evie’s Closet! Not that we love Evie’s gowns or anything, noes. <.< Her now-black hair is from Sky Everett, but otherwise she’s the same. Vanis returned to his demented colour palette with the Excess hat hair and League gloves. The summer festival decorations are from Nonino, the tree and hill are from Happy Mood, lantern from Zacca, white flowers from iTuTu and red flowers from MiaSnow.

It’s needless to say that I’m of course having a blast with the surroundings and enjoying the looks, no matter what the boy avis say. Who knows, we might get some sort of steampunk gear factory or scifi ship the next time Aleksander rips the whole sim apart and builds anew, so better enjoy it while we can!

Butterfly on the nose (with the pose) from LAP (I adore it <3). LeeZu dress, Dark Eden wrist roses, Exxess Designs hair, Djinn & Tonic skin. Happy Mood treestump, bunny and birdies~

And why the title? Because most of the sim is a mix of Happy Mood, iTuTu, Zacca and Nonino — all Japanese designers. If you haven’t visited them, please do. It’ll make you squee, I promise~

Strange Brew – Will You Give It To Me?

Yes, it’s time for another Twisted Hunt! This time the theme is Strange Brew, aka all kind of poisons, absinthe, toxic — mad scientists, witch cauldrons and toxic waste galore! (The shop list and SLURLs and other information about the hunt can be found in their website. There’s no hint lists since the prize locations change so often. I warmly recommend joining the hunt group.)

Now, I’ll be honest. Green isn’t Sonya’s colour. Perhaps in some dark leaf tone, or some velvet, but screaming poison green? Yeahno. However, the days I spent hunting were completely worth it for two reasons. 1) This is Twisted Hunt, the hunt of the hunts. You don’t do this for the prizes, you do this for the hunt alone, to prove yourself that you can! It’s the trophy hunt of all the grid-wides out there! *grins* 2) I had so much fun doing this photoshoot that it alone would have made all the cam-until-your-eyes-bleed hours worthwhile!

I mean… just look at the madness! It’s awesome! *grins* Del May had these absolutely wonderful poses with steaming green bottles and vials to hold with them… this one was called Jekyll. V. appropriate. The green lament boxes twirling and whirling around her are a part of Burning Chrome’s gift, the amazing mystery potion belt is from ~Sa-eela~ and the dress is from Dark Water Designs. It’s really topless with an underbust corset <3, but I added a top from A Netherworld’s dress so I’d at least pretend to keep the pictures properly rated. The bone wings are from !ReToX!, the skin a part of Sn@tch’s gift, hair one of the two hairs in several colours Pop Tart & Urban Assault offered and the eyes are Ooze Eyes from MaXeyes. The necklaces are from Lolapop! (shorter one) and Goth1co (longer one). The picture was taken in Urban Forge’s Witch Hazel house, complete with a cauldron and fireplace!

You can’t have green strange brews without absinthe. The seductive little fairies whispering in your ear, telling you want just a sip… and another… and one more… Sn@tch’s gift was this lovely little absinthe fairy – skin, wings, ears and dress. (Hair is not a part of the hunt, it’s an old Hair Fair freebie from Tekeli-li.) Eyes are from MaXeyes and necklace from Wild Style Fashions. The piercing with ‘poison’ text beneath the lip is from Virtual Insanity. I don’t often squee for piercings, but this was pretty full of win and awesome. The hilariously brilliant cocktail glass with insane amount of poses is from Dare Designs. The cave in the background (with a monster in it) is from Stone Misery.

And here we have some darker tones with quirky umbrella of awesome. Now, let’s discuss umbrellas. ^_^ I love them. Especially crazy steampunk umbrellas or gothic lace construction parasols. This one is made by Weather! or Not? and it rains dark depression within it. Absolute must have for dead dolls and Victorian goths! The coat is from Nightshade, the skin is from Heartsick (a part of Burning Chrome’s gift), eyes from MaXeyes and the hair is an old Twisted Hunt prize from DV8, not a part of the hunt this time around. The twisted topper hat is by Burning Chrome as is traditional by now (they’ve made similar toppers for all the Twisted Hunts) and the collar is a part of DV8′s gift. The picture was taken in the monochromatic picture box by MH Creations.

And then to a more modern toxic tones of the green brew spectrum. The outfit is from DV8 and came in several colours, but I obviously picked the green one for this post. The hair is from Pop Tart & Urban Assault, eyes from Del May and skin from Heartsick (part of Burning Chrome’s gift). The bracelets, earpieces and the lament cube within the heart construction are all from Burning Chrome. The cute little twisted mouth decoration thing is from ~*D’s*~. The deadly cocktail leg strap is from Virtual Insanity. As for the props, the chair with a lot of awesome poses is from Nocturna, the green fairy statue is from Malfean Visions and the skybox is from Sugar.Snap.Me. It’s appropriately called Monster by Mar, and it’s alive, aliiiiiiive. As in it’s a dark skybox with awesome tentacles coming into the room from everywhere.

This is one of those wonderful creepy poses from Del May again, this one called Hag – Potion Thief. The steaming potion bottle she’s reaching for belongs to the set. The outfit is DV8′s male gift, except for the belt from Rasetsukoku and the oriental spine attachment from Secret Shelf’s Nihon Dreams outfit. Boots are from Heart and Sole, gasmask from DV8, hair from Pop Tart and Urban Assault, eyes from MaXeyes and skin from Heartsick (part of Burning Chrome’s gift). On her upper arm is the DV8′s end prize you get after you find your way through the maze, it’s called Zydrate Fix. The cyber blood scan bracelet is from Wild Style Fashions. The picture was taken in Abandoned Toxicity House by Firefly Fashions and the toxic waste and barrels on the left are from PQD.

There was oh so much more that I could have screenshotted and rambled about, but I figured five looks is enough. I also wanted to keep it green for this post, for fun and amusement. There -were- other colours present, honest. Now get out there and start hunting, you have the whole March to finish!
