Dream Bubbles

Dreams are bubbles over water, glittering in the sun, dancing to the quiet melodies within. We create as easy as we breathe — ideas, thoughts, concepts, dreams — they all float and flutter and escape from our mindscapes with every exhale.

Most of our ideas pop like sparkling soap bubbles, perfect for that one brief moment, then gone, forgotten. Some linger long enough to take form, to grow wings, gain life. It is still a fragile life, in constant need of light and warm winds to carry them, to care and support. 

It takes an immense amount of focus, care and perseverence for the brilliant little bubbles to turn into a full-fledged dream in all her complexities and details, for the creation, the project, the thought to become reality.

But when it happens, when you watch your creation complete and fall up into the sky exactly as you imagined, or even better, exactly as she grew out to be — it is worth all the faded soap bubbles bursting in the sun. Worth keeping breathing, keeping dreaming, one deep inhale at a time.

The delightful bubble dress by chocolate Atelier is from the current round of Gacha Garden and pretty much inspired the whole thing. It is one of the so called Seeds of Inspiration, which means you get it automatically from their machine after you’ve played it 20 times.

Twisting (N)evermore

Another year, another March, another Twisted Hunt — this time the cubes are red and the theme is Nevermore. This means a lot of squee for red, black and feathers~ As usual, the prizes were full of awesome and too plentiful to fit into one blog post, so I present only some of my favorites in the form of the Raven Sisters.

“Tell us, wise grandmother, how do we free our sister? She’s been lured into a trap by humans; betrayed, caught and caged.”

The Eldest of the Raven Sisters is asking for guidance, hovering in the air in the pose included in the chair by Lemons & Cream. The rug and the plant are also a part of the set. The Hellraiser pedestal with a non-red cube is from Archaic. The skull on the chair (to hide the poseball) is by Tay’s and the red cube & raven are one of the extras from Lemons & Cream. The Nevermore Mansion (the frame is a part of it) is from Malfean Visions.

Look at the frame again. See the shadow of the murdered woman? That’s not a shadow nor a part of the painting, it’s a prim shadow by Likka*House attached to the back of the Eldest. She’s wearing an outfit from Bad Juju, gloves & bracelets by Loulou&Co, hat by Delaney’s, hair corsage by Bliensen + MaiTai and necklace by CoLLisions. The awesome crow feet are by Gilded, skin by ^Re.Birth^, face tattoo by Bubble and hair by Souzou Eien.

“Grandmother said only this, dear sister: ‘No shame in getting caught, only in not getting out. She is a Raven.'”

The middle one of the Raven Sisters brought the word to the youngest. There is no lock to keep a raven in. If you don’t believe me, read this. The crow in a cage is by DV8, a part of the Evil End Game prizes. The crystal ball with a red cube on the mantlepiece is by Lemons & Cream, one of the extra prizes. Everything else in the house, including the house itself, is a part of Raven’s Chamber, a wonderful prize from Michigan’s Shack.

This particular Raven Sister is wearing an outfit by Blue Blood, a raven mask by Souzou Eien, cameo necklace by Sacred Roses, skin by ^Re.Birth^and hair by Bad Juju. The hair wasn’t a hunt prize, but an extra for sale for 10 lindens. I couldn’t resist. The pose is Mela’s.

“And now that I’m out, it’s time for revenge! I’ve memorized their faces, their habits, their addresses, their very souls.”

Here’s the Youngest of the Raven Sisters fleeing her gilded cage. The little garden is built inside the Parliament of Rooks by Curvasive Designs. It consists of the gilded cage by Trident, a bench and curtain by Dolome Designs and extra flowers (there were some with the cage) by Oddment.

The Youngest is wearing… not much, what with recent shapechange to freedom, but there’s a very sharp knife between her lips by Virtual Insanity! Surely that counts? No? Well, there’s also a necklace by DV8 and bracelets by Mia’s Gems. The feather pasties are a part of the skin by b[ELLE]issima, the rest of the scribblings on her skin are a separate tattoo layer from CoLLisions. Her hair is by DV8, wings are by Favole and the circling flock of accompanying ravens of doom are by ImmateriA. She has the same crow feet as the Eldest (by Gilded), although they’re not much visible. Pose is by Niqotine Poses.

What do we learn from all this? Be nice to ravens. You might forget what you did, but they will not. Ever.

Time for More Popcorn!

“Did you hear? The second Zombie Popcorn Hunt has started! Oh, I finished it already, it’s full of awesome stuff. 84 shops, hints provided on the website as well as more sneak peeks and there’s a helpful in-world group to guide your shuffling steps, too!”

The amusing brick cell phone that I’m calling from is from Soap. The couch is from Kosh and the fun photo box is from Slash Me Poses. I used it for all the pictures in this post. This particular gossiping zombie girl is made of skin by Garage, eyes by Glam Affair, hair by Exile and rings & nails combos by Virtual Insanity. She’s wearing a dress and gloves by Acid & Mala, leggings by Leaks and necklace by Loulou&Co.

“Hunting? But I barely just managed to find my heart! I’m not leaving this room until I get it stitched back! Every morning same damn thing and I’m not even dressed yet! …oh, and have you seen my eye anywhere? No? Dammit.”

This little zombie didn’t go to market, but she has an awesome heart and ripping wound on her chest by Olive Juice. The pose is a part of the photo box, though. She has skin by Djinn & Tonic, eyes by Repulse and super fun zombie hair by CriCri. It has bloody bandages! She’s wearing a classy lingerie set by Glam Affair — once you clean away the blood layer it’s practically pin-up! She also has a lip piercing by Plastic Flowers and a mouthie chain by Calypso Giano. It has a script to change the letter on it so you can make a mental note on who to nom next~

“I’d love to hunt, but I’m sort of pinned down right now… gimme a moment to wiggle through this voodoo pin and I’ll be right over!”

I know, I know, I have a strange liking to demented ballerina doll looks. This little golden zombie dolly is made of skin by !Imabee, eyes by MADesigns and hair by Zanda. I really like that hair, despite it leaving most of her skull bald — something that I usually run screaming away from. It has awesome vintage feather hairpiece and it’s just so quirky combination that it’s practically irresistible. She’s wearing a dress by Rotten Toe, jewelry set (earrings & necklace) by Caroline’s Jewelry and mouthie thingie by Acide. The y-stitch on her chest is by Love Zombie and the voodoo pin with the pose is a part of Del May’s voodoo pin collection.

“Bloody excuses! I’m getting us out of here and then you’re all coming with me. Then we hunt. …oh, and maybe pick up some of those prizes, too.”

No box can keep a determined zombie down! …I mean in. Anyways! The chair and the pose with it are also a part of the Slash Me Poses hunt prize. Oh, and see the crack in the glass? Also a part of it. You can choose between the broken glass and a screen. She’s made of skin by Djinn & Tonic, eyes by Repulse, tattoos by Para Designs and hair by MADesigns. She’s wearing a dress by Bubble, but the socks are by Rotten Toe and not a part of the hunt. I just had to add them since they matched so well. Her shoes are by hoorenbeek, bracelet by Blitzed, necklace by Loulou&Co and piercings by Acide (more or less all over the face). Oh, and she has a brain kabob by Concrete Flowers as a future snack with her, holding it in her mouth.
