The Sound of Bones

The sound of the bones is soothing. They clatter gently in the evening breeze, each touch a hollow sound, echoing into the night. 
They know things, the bones. The older they are, the more they know. Secrets long forgotten, secrets taken to the grave, secrets buried deeper than the graves ever were.

If you listen well, if you can hear with more than your ears, you can catch their whispers, the faded words, the forgotten languages.

Krampus the Yule Yak

It’s almost time. All the signs are there: the shifting colours to very specific spectrum of reds and greens, the emergence of lights in the middle of the darkness, the mistletoe and holly and all other words ending in -olly.

We’ll leave the reindeers to more commercial types and instead set out with yaks. Nobody expects the yak acquisition! Acquisition and re-delivery, that’s the name of the game. The Great Yak Company: bringing smiles and laughter around the world since the… era that you’ve never heard of but is surely there. Yes.

Little Krampus here is a perfect candidate, ready for hours of work to find things that were lost and to bring them to people who miss them. Sometimes it’s the same people, sometimes different. We don’t mind, we’re creative about the whole distribution. It’s not about who throws money around the most, it’s about how to make the most people smile in the end.

So when you have a moment to sit down in all the commercial stress and rush, listen to the clip-clop of tiny yak hooves and prepare to enjoy the spirit of Gothmas: accept yourself with all your misgivings, accept the people around you with all of theirs, take a deep breath and simply smile.

Gothilocks

But only two bears. Surely this was some sort of bizarro-day in story land, things definitely out of place and overlapping. Holidays mixing with fairytales, critters running from one story to another, no one sticking to the original plans anymore, absolute chaos! (And hijinks and shenanigans.)

There was no porridge nor beds, but a holiday feast and comfy pillows, even a small gingerbread house for noms. Gothilocks wasn’t quite certain why there was a snowshoe rabbit riding a small yak indoors, but surely there’d be an explanation for everything eventually.

The cocoa train kept puffing along steadily while the little arctic fox tried in vain to awaken the doggie that had unfortunately zoomed right through the Sleeping Beauty’s story before landing here. It was all so very peaceful and cosy that it was tempting to close one’s eyes, for just a moment.

But wait, maybe it wasn’t just the doggie… where did all this food come from if not a castle’s kitchen? Definitely not from this cottage, there’s not even a kitchen here! This amount of sleepiness all around cannot possibly be just from relaxed atmosphere… there’s trouble afoot!

Dragon Summoning 101

My first Twisted Hunt inspired look of the spring is obviously a teenager sorceress who has just learned to summon her first dragon. Yes, she is so proud and smug that she’s about to burst.

There’s only a few things in the whole post that are not from Twisted Hunt. The hair is the latest subscribo gift by Exile and the Khloris-tattoo by ~Cannibelle~ is a new release. It was fittingly creepy and gorgeous to work as arcane markings. (Yes, there are bugs involved.)

Disclaimer: no adorable plushie baby dragons were harmed during these pictures. The big dragon is just about to pick it up by neck like a kitten! I fished the baby dragon up in Snow Bound as one of the hunt extras.

The best way to tame a dragon is to remove any evil sharp things from their ickle claws… like huge two-handed swords and such thorns. Poor baby. The boots by Fatal Error might not be as strong weapons, but I’m sure the heels could do some decent damage. They’re only a part of their prize, there’s a whole avatar there.

All but the first pose are by Del May, either from the real prize or the easy-to-locate bonus prize. They are wonderfully zodiac-inspired, this one being of course Libra, weighing the earlier plushie against the arcanathulu from the gatcha extras in Malfean Visions. Speaking of, that’s exactly where the big dragon is from. Go tame find yours!

Freezing

I was still in the whole wintry ice-snow elemental theme, so I couldn’t resist making another look. Good thing pixels are surprisingly cold-resistant, do not try this at home!

The skin is Snow Queen by Glam Affair, their With Love, Again Hunt prize. I matched Poetic Colors’ blue eyes to it and left Sonya’s default Redgrave-lashes on to complete the pale glam look. The ring is by .( bewildebeest )., the diamond just perfect for the Snow Queen. As for the Lumi-tattoo and silvery Eira-lingerie, they are xmas presents from ~Cannibelle~. Speaking of the lingerie, it was rather sheer, so I let Sonya wear two layers for… warmth, yes.

By the way, ‘lumi’ is Finnish for ‘snow’, thus making the name of the tattoo rather perfect fit. Obviously I had to take the pictures in the snow, so I used the polar hideout and aurora borealis by Baffle! from the With Love, Again Hunt. The polar bear is a part of the hideout and is practically begging for riding poses! The too-cold-for-this pose in the first two pictures is by aDORKable Poses, from their prize for With Love, Again Hunt.

Eventually I felt so bad for the shivering lingerie-clad Sonya in the snow that I caved in and let her put on a coat. It looks very Snow Queenish and appropriately evil diva like, I must say. It’s a part of the PurpleMoon Creations’ prize for Peace on Earth Hunt. Both hairs are by Exile, I had to change into an updo when the coat with the luxuriously gigantic collar appeared on her. I did edit the arctic toned hairs even slightly colder white than they normally are. The pose is a part of the xmas present by Diesel Works.

On the Edge

Or the Faun Who Wanted to Fly. It all started when I got a surprise review copy packet from Annabelle Couturier of ~Cannibelle~.  From all the things in it one thing immediately called to me: Efa-tattoo of birds. I love feathers, I love birds, I love flying. Yes, even the plane type. Most of all I love the -idea- of flying, real flying, having wings and soaring. But first the faun — and every little bird — has to take the step over the edge.

The faun legs, tail, horns and wings are by Favole from A Very Rotten Christmas Hunt. The claws are an old hunt gift by [ni.Ju] and I added bangles by Mandala to them. The white skin with the black mask is by Nuuna, as is the tattoo that crosses eyes and then goes down the face and body.

Falling through the dark skies required a bit more clothes, so I put on the rest of the Buckle Up outfit by Violent Seduction. Eyes are by Repulse and the hair is one of my all-time favorites from Deviant Kitties. I’m not sure if it’s available anymore or not. The poses are by Niqotine Poses (1&3) and PurplePoses (2).
