Unicorn Knights, the Protectors of the Fairelands

It is a sacred duty to protect the Fairelands, one that all the Unicorn Knights share. For this purpose they are given the Armor of Resilience, the Shield of Strength and the Sword of Hope. In the Fairelands the Darkness has visible forms, ones that a skilled knight may defeat should her belief in her cause and her trust in her companions be strong enough.

The unicorns travel with them, not as war mounts, but as friends. Their magic aids the knights, reminding them that even in the parts of the Fairelands where all hope seems lost one can find it from within. From the support of others, friends, family, community. Their journey is long, their service neverending, but they would not want it any other way. They keep the Darkness at bay and hope alive, day after day.

Fantasy Faire is open! The portals to the Fairelands have emerged and will bring you through the mists for eleven days before they vanish again. Journey to the Fairelands Junction and acquire a handy teleport HUD from there, or simply travel through all 14 worlds: they form a circle continent.

Sword Day, Red Day

Red had traveled under many names, most of them either forgotten by now or branded into myths and legends. Having a mythical name meant these days simply that your parents had played Dungeons and Dragons as youngsters, so she preferred Red.

Horses had changed to bikes, which in general meant they were much easier to fix than their predecessors had been. Sharp pieces of metal had turned to small blunt pieces of metal of beautiful velocity. The ring of swords had become the drums of guns.

In all this time Red had never changed. She was always beautiful, always fiery, always tempting and glamorous. She was glory and fame, power and control, the beauty of fire calling you closer until you burn.

She was all the reasons humanity had ever needed for fighting each other. She was War, and tonight she was riding to town.

New round of A Tattered Page has just started, this time focusing on Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. War is of course one of the Four Horsemen Bikers of the Apocalypse. The boots by Pale Empress and the helmet by Eclectica can be found in the ATP Library.

The Goblin Queen
