Worth the Risk

Some kisses change you forever. Some moments awaken you from the slumber you’ve drifted into. Some encounters kill you, only to nurture you to rebirth. Some apples taste so sweet that everything else will become bland.
There are bites worth taking, risks worth daring, touches worth falling for. There are fairy tales that are real, as long as we remember that happy endings are just a marker on the road, one step among the many we take. 
We write our own stories, find our own tastes and flavors, and eventually decide which apple is worth the risk.

Borrowed Mane in the Summer Rain

After hearing about Wigs for Kids, Bunling That Knows Letters wanted to show that one can look simply fabulous by using a borrowed mane — even if the summer rain gets it in your eyes. 

A quick picture for Hair Fair Photo Contest 2016 with the theme Whatever the Weather. In this particular case, a warm summer rain that threatens to flop the fancy wig the bunling is wearing.

Unicorn Knights, the Protectors of the Fairelands

It is a sacred duty to protect the Fairelands, one that all the Unicorn Knights share. For this purpose they are given the Armor of Resilience, the Shield of Strength and the Sword of Hope. In the Fairelands the Darkness has visible forms, ones that a skilled knight may defeat should her belief in her cause and her trust in her companions be strong enough.

The unicorns travel with them, not as war mounts, but as friends. Their magic aids the knights, reminding them that even in the parts of the Fairelands where all hope seems lost one can find it from within. From the support of others, friends, family, community. Their journey is long, their service neverending, but they would not want it any other way. They keep the Darkness at bay and hope alive, day after day.

Fantasy Faire is open! The portals to the Fairelands have emerged and will bring you through the mists for eleven days before they vanish again. Journey to the Fairelands Junction and acquire a handy teleport HUD from there, or simply travel through all 14 worlds: they form a circle continent.

Bottled Goth

Creators Stamp Rally has started! When I looked at the prizes on the website I knew there was one thing I absolutely had to have: floating jar by Happy Mood. It’s a shiny glowy sparkly bottle for floating in! Everyone needs one of those, right? (Or several.)

Since I wanted to show off this bob by Love Soul and the squeeworthy peacock feather hair accessory by Tram, my styling slid immediately into the darker side of things. This dress by Violent Seduction is such a mix-match of vibes from darker Alice to gothic lolita and even to mime that it had enough edge and cute to accompany the hair and feathers. It’s on a lucky board at the moment.  The pose is by Thump, the other poses are a part of the bottle floating animations.

The shoes are by G Field and I must confess I’ve been an addict for his roses since pretty much the beginning of my SLife. Add them to anything and I’ll wear it! The thorns body tattoo is by Fallen Gods Inc.

I added an unseelie necklace by Lolapop to the collar, it’s from the Twisted Hunt. Eyes are Sonya’s default Poetic Colors ones as well as Redgrave’s lashes, but the skin is — surprise surprise — by Pink Fuel. Yes, that’s the actual make-up on it, no extra tattoo layers. Pink Fuel gone goth! Actually this skin is a pre-release of a new skin in a completely new, ultra-pale tone. It’s for sale in the Atomic Bake Sale at the moment. I’m sensing shopping in my future when these skins are released, yes, I do. ❤
