Tainted Demon

Or alternatively, you can’t spell demon without emo. All puns aside, I had been poking at Tainted Love Hunt and was busy sorting my loots when this look just happened. Then I ran into the you broke me ottoman and then the pictures pretty much took themselves.

The ottoman is by Malfean Visions and oh so fitting for this darker side of Valentine’s hunt. Surely demons become tainted if they fall in love, right? So against their nature that they become ill.

This outfit by Acid & Mala seemed to be made of more holes than fabric and somehow it worked for the tattered and heartbroken demon look perfectly. The shoes by Dilly Dolls are from the hunt as are the heart-piercing horns by .{Rue}., giving the darkness splashes of red.

The droplet attachment for the heart blood is by AD Creations and actually from the Zombie Popcorn Hunt. There’s another attachment for the Tainted Love Hunt in the shop, but I liked this one better. Make-up is made of two layers: M.O.C.K.’s tainted tears of love and Plastik’s renaissance mask. The eyes by Repulse finished the look.

Treat or Treat?

We don’t have Halloween in Finland. Not really. We do have pyhäinpäivä, which has basically same roots, but it’s the day to visit graves, bring candles and such. Nothing to do with the witches, tricks or treats. These days there are Halloween-parties in Finland, but it’s a very late commercial, global addition to the culture and mostly just for kids to have an extra candy-day. This is one of the many reasons I absolutely love Halloween in SL, of course. ❤

To make a proper Halloween Feast I visited Poche and raided all their noms! If you’ve never been there, do go and check out -everything-. A lot of the freebies are just clickable objects around or sold in vendors in the side booth. I always get cravings when just -looking- at their stuff, yegads. The adorable autumn-appropriate collar is a subscribo gift by SoliDea FoliEs and the cutesy bunny-face tattoo layer is a hunt gift by JeSyLiLo. I was there to do another hunt and grabbed this one because I always find all the other hunt objects before the one I intend to. Sonya’s default-look of League-skin, Poetic Colors-eyes and Redgrave lashes work as the base and the hair underneath the witch hat is by Elikatira, who is having a sale until Sunday!

The feast got overrun by roos! Fine, fine, I set it up just for them. The dryads will retire soon, after all. Figured they could nom their tummies full before running back to mythical forests of roodom somewhere out there. The pumpkin and candles decoration behind Pihlaja and Talvi is by LISP Bazaar from Zombie Popcorn Hunt. The table is an old hunt gift by Nonino and everything on it is either roos or noms by Poche. The fancy red ring on the Roo Witch is by .( bewildebeest )., because I’m apparently incapable of making a look without Coyo’s shinies. The nom-stealing pose is by No Strings Attached.

The rest of the outfit is composed of a dress by Riddle (in the Knitting Circle Bake Sale), shoes by Romance, tights by Latte and an old witch hat by Grim Bros. The broom is by Little Heaven, and not available anymore. The hay cart by Kusshon and the tree by Glitterati are both from the Seasons Hunt. With Halloween drawing near, a lot of the hunts will end as well. Make sure you’ve grabbed everything you want to!

Zombie Popcorn For All!

That’s right, the fifth Zombie Popcorn Hunt begins today! The hunt starts officially 1 PM and you have time until the end of October to find all the little popcorn-noming poppets. Without further ado, here’s the post in ZombiePopcornSL about one of my favorite looks among the hunt, I call her the Queen of Clowns~

Cool Critters

There’s been a cutesplosion in my inventory lately and I figured I should set them in something resembling order. It was a bit of a challenge with all the awwing they inspire, but I think I managed!

Here’s Sonya’s Ark, although it’s really just a raft. All the animals and the raft itself are from the lucky boards of Stray Pig, one of the places full of random cute.

The whitewash shelf with the plants, watering can, birdy and the sack and mushrooms next to it are by Awesome Blossom, their Zombie Popcorn Hunt prize. The coffee mug on the donkey’s back is by Art Dummy! (old hunt gift) and the macaron flan serving tray in front of the sheep is by KUE!, from the Just Desserts Hunt. The giraffe-matching dress is by Peqe and I wanted to try and make the hairdo resemble the giraffeness somehow, so I removed the decorations from one of the wonderful Tukinowaguma hairdos and added leaf-sticks by Caverna Obscura into it. The flower mouthie by Sweet Leonard & Needful Things (group gift) that the deer is noming, the adorable panda earrings by Sn@tch (a part of an old fishing outfit), freebie rose rings by December and the ring by Bewildebeest (worn on thumb here, subscribo-gift) might be too small to see if you don’t click the picture to view it in the real size. Here’s a completely different kind of a critter! An ickle summer cthulhu with an ice cream cone by Avatar Bizarre from the SLU sale. The end of the world was never this cute~ The oh-so-fitting octo dress is by The Sea Hole, yoinked from their summer sale that’ll end on June 10th. Hurry! Hair is a freebie by Vive9, the face tattoo is the latest group gift by Fallen Gods Inc. and the adorable little hat with lace is by Natural and it cost only 10 lindens. I found their shop during the Black Butler Hunt and about died of cuteness and all the flower accessories. All the bracelets are by Bewildebeest, the selection of colourful ones are a freebie in the shop. The Moby bracelet isn’t free, but is way too awesome not to have. The little teahouse is by C&D Designs, their prize in the Silk Road Hunt. The balloon-floated chair is by What Next? (Zombie Popcorn Hunt prize), the about-to-drop-off slurpies are the latest group gift by Sweet Leonard & Needful Things and the tiny bunny with Japanese flag is by Sanu, who will soon travel to Japan and sent the bunny to her group in celebration. All the posing is so tiring. Good thing LISP sent this daybed to her subscribo-members. There’s also a flying bear from Love Soul’s lucky chair on the background, as well as macaron flan dessert seat by KUE! (Just Desserts Hunt) and a myna bird by Stray Pig (lucky board). I grabbed these engineer shorts from The Sea Hole’s sale and added a top from the latest group gift of Azul’s to it. Look at the spoon mouthie, though. There’s a tiny bunny dessert thing on it! These little awws are from a gatcha by Illusory. The glasses by December and shoes by Lassitude & Ennui are both from the Black Butler Hunt. The shoes are the real stars of this picture, obviously. So pretty~ Hair is by Elikatira, skin is by League and eyes by Poetic Colors. The skin and the eyes stayed the same through all three pictures. And look, still wearing the Moby bracelet!

Corny IV

The fourth Zombie Popcorn Hunt has started! There’s 76 wonderful shops involved and if you join the group you can grab the list of landmarks and hints from the past notices. Begin here. My favorites are from the more strange, dark and quirky offerings of the hunt, but there was plenty of wonderful normal things for everyday use as well!

Obviously you have to have a zombie in a Zombie Popcorn Hunt. This one even -has- the said popcorn although I fear for her coordination. Might be tricksy to get the popcorn out from the small bag, especially with the ickle zombie already noming…

I found the Madworld Park during the hunt and immediately landmarked it to come back for pictures. The zombie girl is wearing an outfit by Severed Garden: armwarmers, armlets, bra, skirt, boots, mouthie and the body scar. I was extremely impressed by it, not only because of the quality but because the resizer script had also stretch options so you can resize it to certain directions only. ❤ It was also delightful to notice that they offered both alpha layer and invisiprims for shoes and the tattoo in underwear and tattoo layers. The skin is by Glam Affair, hair by MINA Hair, face blood by V.E.L Cosmetics, zombie stomach wound by Repulse (a part of the first prize of the hunt) and the pose is one of the zombie poses by Captivity Co.

Where you have zombies you also have zombie hunters, it’s the great circle of um… unlife. This particular zombie hunter got an accidental ganguro feel, but I kinda like it.

The hair is not a part of the ZP hunt, it’s by SyDS from the Oh My Stars – April Showers Hunt. The outfit is my second favorite from the hunt, it’s a bloody kimono by Sassy Kitty Designs. Not that you could possibly call that a kimono, except in a very particular anime perhaps. It doesn’t even pretend to have a skirt part by adding a tiny prim. I sort of approve, I hate the teeny tiny prims that will not look good no matter how you set them to fake skirtness. Might as well skip them completely! The outfit comes with a clean version as well and includes shoes, ripped leggings and the chopstick hair pins. The huge three-bladed scythe is by J.I.N.X. and it’s absolutely necessary for a good zombie hunt. The skin is by Filthy and the body tattoo by Arnadi. The spider & web mouthie (what little you can see of it) is by EY:NO and the pose is by Diesel Works.

There’s always some prizes that go into the crazy entertainment of popcorn, stripes and carnival. For this shot I left the park, set out an old hunt prize house by Zacca to work as the background and made a scene with some of the furniture gifts.

The beautiful posing chair is by Tableau Vivant, the black-and-white curtains are by MudHoney and the rest of the bloody couch set is by Noctis. The carnie doll herself has a skin by Nuuna’s Skins, tattoo by Para Designs, top by ANCAYI and socks, gloves and panties by MUKA. The sneakers are by BC322, voodoo doll backpack by Beauty Killer and the tiny tophat by LaGyo. She’s noming a brain munchie by Virtual Insanity and has dropped a movie freak doll by Pinkmare’s House on the floor, although I have a feeling that the doll might start shambling off on her own any moment now. The hair is an old group gift by Curious Kitties and not a part of the hunt. The eyes of all the three girls are by Repulse.

The last day of the hunt is June 15th so you have still a couple of weeks to hunt for popcorn. Get out there and have fun!

Must… have… popcorn…

Now, you all know that I love strange, quirky, eccentric things. Look at the blog — the only times I bother to post is when there’s something weird going on! The latest addition to this is the Zombie Popcorn Hunt. The participating shop list is ridiculously fantastic and high quality, and the prize items get an A for quality. However, I must wonder why not even half of the items had anything to do with zombies. O.o Much hat-tipping and kudos to those designers who went with the theme and had fun!

There was only one skybox in the hunt and although it was awesome, it was space themed. *blinks* So I rezed an old haunted house from Tuft to work as the background instead! The poses that have nothing to do with furniture are from Poses4Posers, who had created an absolutely delightful set of zombie poses for the hunt. My favorite item from the whole hunt is this skin by Plastik (a male version included as well), and I’ll show some of the other random nifty varied things and different zombie looks. Here we have a striped mini dress and matching socks and gloves from Acid & Mala. They included a clean version for non-zombie days as well. Shoes are from Ducknipple, belt from Loulou&Co, hair from Amacci, eyes from Plastik and the necklace from noir*lily.

Here we have an innocent little zombie girl, waiting for her dinner date, obviously feeling rather moping since he hasn’t showed up. The hilarious bed with two menus worth of poses (including jumping on the bed animation) is from Concrete Flowers. Skin is from Imabee, hair from IrEn, eyes from Kosh, bracelets from Loulou&Co and the dress from A-Bomb. So sweet, so adorable, so slightly demented circus-vibe. Perfect for cutesy zombie girls!

And here we have the reason why the dinner date never showed up. Didn’t get past the movie invitation downstairs. Seems he was delicious~ This zombie girl is obviously more of a tomboy and is dressed in male gifts from the hunt. Shoes from A-Bomb, outfit from DeeTaleZ and hair from Exile. I added the necklace from Gems & Kisses and the belt from Loulou&Co for some feminine touch, and the Plastik skin is of course the female version. The blood on the hands is from the earlier posted Acid & Mala outfit. Chaise is from Blue MoonPie, brains lunchbag from Intrigue Co and the zombie popcorn bag is what you get when you hit the hunt subscribo.

I have a feeling that when this particular zombie girl hears that someone hogged all the noms, there’s gonna be trouble. Plastik skin, Kosh eyes, MADesigns hair, Para Designs tattoo, iPoke piercing and Loulou&Co bracelet. The mini dress with the skull corsage is from III and the blood and scar layers are from dEVOL. The strangely disco armchair is from SHAG and the paper lanterns from Turnip’s Homes and Stuff.

Here’s something you don’t get to see often in this blog: blonde hair! I wasn’t going to, but then I ran into the skin from Glam Affair and had a vision of a Marilyn zombie. I wish I had had a blood-spattered torn classic white Marilyn dress to go with it, but… this’ll do. ^_^ Hair is from Exile, eyes from Plastik, all the blood and scars from dEVOL, necklace from Gems & Kisses, belt and bracelets from Loulou&Co, pose from Poses4Posers and the camo dress from Pesto.

Something about zombies and circus just works so well together. Here we have another mix of demented circus looks! Dress from Miamai, shoes from A-Bomb, gloves and stockings from Acid & Mala, skin from Imabee, eyes from Kosh and the funny hat hair from Posh. Pose one of those Poses4Posers zombie ones~

And then it’s time to box the zombies again, until next time! I love this random stealth box from Cloud 9.1 — no one suspects a boxed zombie! The skin from Fallen Style has the mouth sewn shut and a little scar near one of the eyes, the rest of the scars and blood are the courtesy of dEVOL. The yellow reptilian eyes are from Nut’s gift. You can also catch a glimpse of the spiked bracelet from Blitzed.

So there. Go out there, hunt for zombies, take their popcorn and run!
